It was one year ago today that we had braced ourselves to say our goodbyes to Charlotte. This was the day she was to be taken off the respirator because there was no more hope for her chances of survival, Annette, Will, Nanny Sharon and I arrived to her room . There we found Hannah and Maria with the MIRACULOUS news that Charlotte had “woken up”. Looking back, it was the most profound moment of our lives. We have been given the gift of truly understanding of what is important in life. Charlotte reminds us everyday of God’s glory. Her face radiates love; she surpasses every hurdle she encounters. Day after day she amazes us. We have met so many wonderful people that have been put into place for Charlotte. We only wish we can give back as much as has been given to us by Charlotte, our family, friends, therapist, nurses and doctors. Every moment with Charlotte reminds us of how amazing God’s love is for us.
