New Travel Chair
Written Nov 4, 2013 6:49am
That’s right – planning to drive up. This new chair enables Charlotte to sit at the table – it is placed on a kitchen chair and has a comfortable harness helps her sit nice and straight.
Look at this amazing child ! Blessed<3
Go Charlotte Go!
Look at this miraculous child showing her strength more & more each day! In this picture she is supporting herself on her knees, Camille, her PT is just there in case 😉
We are so proud of all the hard work Charlotte is doing and we see how it is paying off- Best of all Camille makes it as fun as possible because she knows toddlers love to play!
Thank you to Camille for being so amazing with our precious, Charlotte Rose – cute as ever with the bow in her hair<3
Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
Neurosurgery Status-
Went to see Dr. Patel today, who is her neurosurgeon and head of neurology at St Mary’s Hospital. We are down to one small spot that needs to heal and then Charlotte can have her surgery to replace her right bone flap. He wants to make sure her head is completely healed before having surgery to protect against any risk of bacteria on the new plate. Our next visit is scheduled for December. Pray that her spot has healed by then and we can schedule a date for her operation.
Thank you for all you best wishes. God Bless, Cabell & Annette
Luv You GGD!
Love You Great Grand Diddy!

Charlotte’s Summer & Update!
Sorry it’s been so long since our last update, but we had a busy summer with family visiting, therapies and doctors appointments. Attached are various pictures taken over the summer- look how Charlotte has grown!
June started off with a lot of family getting together to celebrate my grandma’s ( Annette) 50th birthday. Lots of hugs and kisses came my way! I’m so happy Uncle Will came home for the summer, and having his friends over to visit. I missed them!20130926-235414.jpg
Along with my weekly therapies I traveled a lot to doctor appointments. I was measured for a vest that helps strengthen my back and neck and my leg splints to help keep my feet from dropping until I can stand on my own. I finally received my positioning chair. It helps me to sit straight while I eat and play. I love it!
In July , we had a 4th of July BBQ with grandpa’s family and it was special because it was the first time I met Aunt Blair!
I have to stay on antibiotics for awhile but I’m feeling much better
I went to the orthopedic doctor and was fitted with my vest and splints. I wear my splints to bed and my vest during the day. We packed up my uncle Will and he left for college at the end of August. I miss him!
Right now we are waiting to see my neurosurgeon on Oct. 7th to hopefully set a date to put back my bone flap. (cranial reconstruction) It’s taking longer than we hoped for my scar to heal. Dr. Patel wants to make sure it’s completely healed to ensure a safe operation. We will let you know what he says.
We would like to thank everyone for their continued love and support. A special thank you for GrAuntie Maria’s moms who have been donating their milk to me. You are all awesome!! Because of your help I continue to grow strong everyday and my doctors are all amazed on how well I’m doing. Don’t they know I’m surrounded by angels?!

Pumping for Charlotte!
Today I shipped our first box of breastmilk (155 oz) that my screened clients pumped for Charlotte- they have donated 836 oz so far !!
I got so emotional and started crying this morning when I packed it up- ( of course I have been teary all day-lol)
The feeling of gratitude was overwhelming, I wrote the donor moms a mushy email- the positive energy & love I felt from that box was so amazing – that’s what makes it so special<3

Grand Reunion!
This past Monday Charlotte was able to return to Martin Memorial outpatient rehab for occupational therapy once a week. She was so happy to see her therapist Elaine Simpson again.
The last time they worked together was mid February and Miss Elaine noticed immediately how much stronger her neck and torso has become. We had a great session and was sent home with plenty of home work.
It’s wonderful to see Charlotte start to come into her own. Things are starting to click with her and her actions have more purpose. She is beginning to really relate to her surroundings and it’s wonderful to watch her blossom.
We continue to work on her swallowing skills. She can only drink a little bit at a time, but we remain faithful to our Lord that he will continue to heal her.
What a gift she is to us!!
Thank you all for your support and prayers.
Until next week….peace and love to all.

TeetSee Green Elf & Charlotte
Jun 3, 2013 11:22 AM
Guess who’s a new playmate for Charlotte?
A cute little green elf called TeetSee!
She hangs out in the kitchen and brings special love, companionship and friendly encouragement during meals.
TeetSee knows Charlotte has no peripheral vision in her left eye so she cleverly flies to the front so she can be seen and followed.
TeetSee doesn’t need to eat but she sure loves watching Charlotte eat and drink from her cup! Gives lots of nice kisses too!
Miracle Milk Still Doin It’s Magic
Jun 3, 2013 10:56 AM
Thanks to the generosity of so many, Charlotte is continues to reap the many benefits of breastmilk.
She has not been sick once since she came home in February. Charlotte was in the hospital overnight just once cause her “button” popped out- they had to put a bigger one in cause she grew so much!- crazy! So you see she is growing like a weed! 29″ and 23 Lbs-
Healthy, healthy, healthy!
The professionals in charge of her care, doctors and therapists say – “keep the miracle milk comin!!”
So GrAuntie Maria’s clients from her practice ( nursing moms) have started to pump for Charlotte! They have all been carefully screened and qualified to donate their miracle milk – This way, we can feed her breastmilk at least until the end of the year!
GrAuntie Maria has simply opened the “Charlotte Miracle Milk Bank” and will start shipping milk from NJ to Florida very soon!!! Yay!!!
Powerful breastmilk continue to do your magic!!!
God bless all those who donate money & milk! We love you!!!
Sleeping Beauty!
Jun 3, 2013 10:37 AM
I cannot resist watching this sweet angel as she sleeps –
Charlotte’s usual routine is that she wakes up bw 7:30-8:30 – bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Granddiddy gives her a couple of meds – an anti seizure medication (prophylactically) and Zantac twice a day. Meals with nap/rest twice a day bedtime usually by 8 pm.
Plenty of play & exercise in between as tolerated- carefully following Charlotte’s cues:)
Physical therapy & occupational therapy included – busy bee!

This was our first PT session at home with our new friend Camille:)
Our super baby Charlotte Rose did amazing things and worked real hard for almost an hour.
Working on reaching & stretching, balance & posture, strength & power -all through intentional play. Lots of fun new toys and props!
Charlotte really hit it off with Camille – we are blessed to have her special gifts as part of our recovery team.
Go Baby Charlotte Go!!!
